Eligibility criteria and full descriptions of the expectations for each of the roles below can be found here.

  • PAC Chair and Co-Chair: The Title 1 PAC Chairs lead the parent side of the Title 1 program, drafting the family engagement spending plan for Title 1-allocated funds in partnership with the board and the administration, serving on the School Leadership Team, and partnering with the school to hold the annual Title 1 meeting and gather parent input.
     
  • Co-VP, Communications: Develop and implement systems and tools to ensure parents know what’s going on with the PTA. Work with school to enhance school communications with parents. Support school marketing, recruitment, and orientation efforts.

  • Co-VP, Fundraising: Head of Fundraising Committee. Plan and execute major fundraising campaigns and events, working closely with VPs of Special Events as needed. Identify and oversee Chairs in charge of grant-writing, business solicitation, and Locke swag efforts. 

  • Co-VP, Special Projects: Solicit parent input on special projects at the school to which PTA resources might be allocated (e.g. yard/facilities enhancement, extending after-school club offerings, support for special programming for students, etc.). Research and develop proposals for special projects and oversee their implementation.

  • Co-Treasurer: Oversee the process for developing the annual budget. Keep track of all expenditures and income in order to ensure that the PTA operates in accordance with its budget. Provide timely information to officers and members regarding PTA finances.
