Save the Date for Locke on the Block!

Saturday, October 3, 2026 Rain or Shine!!

 

Our biggest event of the year, Locke on the Block, kicks off the school year as an opportunity to bring the Harlem community together and show them what makes Locke truly special. 

 

Time:

  • Locke Families-only access from 10:30am-12pm
  • Open to the broader community from 12-4pm

Other upcoming events: 

  1. Our second PTA meeting of the 2026-27 school year: Friday, Oct 16th, 6:30pm

    • Date: October 16 (following family dinner event), at the school
    • Time: 6:30pm (following family dinner event)
      • Parents are invited to come for as much as they can and leave when they need.
    • Location: In Person at the school - Room TBD
    • Invite list: All Locke parents and guardians are encouraged to attend
    • Agenda: School Leadership Team (SLT) Elections, Title 1 Meeting, Open Forum on school-family partnership / parent engagement 

  2. Locke Families Marathon Day Cheer Zone & Bake Sale: Sunday, Nov. 1

    • Date: November 1
    • Time: Finalized closer to the event, but we'll be there for some of the morning and afternoon. Come by whenever you can!
      • Families are invited to stop by for as little or as long as they’d like.
    • Location: 5th avenue between 111th and 112th streets
    • What’s happening: We’ll be out cheering on NYC Marathon runners and Locke family runners, hanging out with other Locke families, and hosting a bake sale to raise money for the PTA.
    • Who’s invited: All Locke students, parents, guardians, siblings, and families are welcome!
    • What to bring: Your loudest cheering voice and fun or funny signs! Homemade or store-bought baked goods to sell/share are also welcome.
    • Why come: Come cheer, grab a treat, meet other Locke families, and enjoy a fun Sunday together while supporting the PTA!
    • Want to help set up and run the bake sale?: Email hello@lockepta.org if you'd be willing to pitch in to help make the bake sale happen, all help is welcome.
