Save the Date for Locke on the Block!
Saturday, October 3, 2026 Rain or Shine!!
Our biggest event of the year, Locke on the Block, kicks off the school year as an opportunity to bring the Harlem community together and show them what makes Locke truly special.
Time:
- Locke Families-only hour from 11am-12pm
- Open to the broader community from 12-4pm
Help make it happen:
We need YOUR help to make the magic happen! Please sign up if you would be willing to do any of the following, as we need:
- Performers
- Volunteers
- International Cafe/Sweets and Treats donations

Tears or cheers: 1st day of school, Sept 10th, from 8:00-9:15am

Whether you're feeling sad or absolutely elated to be dropping off your kid for the first day of the school year, join us for some Back-To-School themed photos from 8-8:20am, then head to the garden for a tissue and/or a sparkling cider toast after dropoff to meet other parents and some members of our PTA board.

Our first PTA meeting of the 2026-27 school year: Monday, Sept 14, from 8:30-10am
- Date: Monday, Sep.t14
- Time: 8:30-10am (immediately following drop-off)
- We recognize many folks need to leave for work. Parents are invited to come for as much as they can and leave when they need.
- Location: Hybrid - at Locke (Room 119) and on Zoom (link available to registered members via our Calendar)
- Invite list: All Locke parents and guardians are encouraged to attend
- Agenda: Welcome to the PTA, Annual Budget Vote, PAC Chair Elections, PTA Special Elections
